Race Day Information
Congrats on making it to the State Championship! Below is some information you’ll need for race day.
Address: Terre Haute South Vigo High School 3737 S. 7th, Terre Haute, IN
Spectator Fee: $5 per person, Coaches Free w/ Approved Pass. 8 & Under Free. Athletes Free. Spectators will be given a wristband to wear to get in an out of the facility. You will need to give your athlete’s name at the front gate to get the athlete’s band and to get in for free.
No carry-in coolers, food, or pets permitted in the track facility please. Vendors will be on location with plenty of food and beverages throughout the day.
Throws: Shot and Discus will need to be provided by athletes and weighed in upon arrival. If you do not have one, please be courteous and share when needed. Shot and Discus will occur at the same time, ie. Girls Discus same time as Boys Shot, then flip.
Pole Vault will need to provide own poles.
Order of events will be Boys then Girls.
Schedule is on event page Athletic.net. We will not begin an event prior to the scheduled time out of respect to all the athletes traveling from across the state.
Parking is Free and there is plenty of parking. .
Check-in for Athletes. Field events will check in at their field event location, listen for calls. If an athlete has to go to an event, you’ll be allowed to leave and come back to complete attempts/throws.
All running event athletes will check-in at the staging tent at the north end of the track near the 200m mark. You’ll need to be checked in no later than 30 mins prior to your event, again, listen to calls by announcer. 1st/2nd/3rd calls will be provided. Athletes will need to come to tent race ready and have completed warm-ups. Athletes will be escorted to start line and announced by lane. There are no race bibs. Distance events will have chest numbers on right chest provided at check-in.
False starts will be disqualified, no warnings.
Coaches will not be allowed in the infield.
Awards (1st thru 8th) will be awarded within 2 to 3 events from your event in between starts and will occur near the start line next to the Jumbo Screen in front of the fans. Awards are scheduled this year and will follow as close to as possible for field events if completed.
Team Tents and Camps will be allowed in a designated area. Map will be posted/provided.
Practice time Friday night (May 17th) will be available 6p to 8pm.
Event Tshirts will be sold for $15/ea, only 800 made, be sure to purchase as soon as you get there before sold out.
Team Scores: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 scoring format.
Timing: FAT timing by TimingMD and Live LED Display Boards.
Results: Meet results will be uploaded LIVE to TimingMD.net during the meet. The Live LED Display Boards provides real-time results as athletes cross the finish line.
Awards: Custom medals awarded to places 1-8 in each event. Each member of relay teams in places 1-8 will receive a medal. Large awards for overall team male and female State Champions and Runner-Up. Team Champion and Runner-up will be awarded at the conclusion of the meet for boys and girls teams.
